ROGER IBAÑEZ UGENA

Born in 1977, on the 6th of July, Roger Ibáñez Ugena studied in Escola Joso (comic school).
In 1993, he draw several short humoristic stories for the fanzine «GÑ!» (script by Al García) and, in 1994, he won the first manga contest of Norma Editorial, which published several stories in their manga magazine «Otaku» (script by Roke González, except the last one, first collaboration with Raule).

For Camaleón Ediciones, he draw on a regular basis in «Sukebe» (with Núria Peris) and then «Hiromi» is published (script by Al García). In 1997 he inked Núria Peris pencils in «El vuelo de Skhum», with Germán García’s script, for Planeta. From 1999 to 2001, he does 14 stories (script Raule) for «Penthouse Comix» by Ediciones El Jueves.

Roger draw several erotic stories for american publications such as «Sizzle» by NBM. In 2002 and 2003, with Raule’s script he draw «Hole´n´Virgin», «Amores muertos» and «Cabos sueltos» with Ediciones Amaníaco.

Diábolo Ediciones published the last two in a compilation name «Vidas a contraluz». During the Salón del cómic de Barcelona in 2003, the french scriptwriter Jean David Morvan became seduced by the art in «Cabos sueltos» and showed it to Dargaud Benelux.

In January 2004 Roger signed with Dargaud to start «Jazz Maynard» series (script by Raule). The first book was released in June 2007.



RAULE

Born in 1971, on the 10th of November Raule studied a few years in Escola Joso (comic school) . In 1993, he released the fanzine «Tribulaciones» with Miguel Chaves drawings.

They both won the «Award to the best drawed script » in the comic contest of El Prat de Llobregat. In 1994, the both made «Lady Down» for the comic magazine «DeTebeos» of Almería. In 1995 and 1996, for Camaleón Ediciones, they collaborated in the first and last issue of «Ryu», a manga magazine with stories made by spanish authors, they also produced «Violencia Sónica», a series of 4 issues compiled in a book in 1997.

At that time starts the first collaboration with Roger Ibáñez in the 9th issue of «Otaku», the manga magazine published by Norma Editorial. From 1999 to 2001, he signed 14 stories (drawed by Roger) for the «Penthouse Comix» magazine by Ediciones El Jueves.

In 2002 and 2003, with Roger’s drawings, «Hole´n´Virgin», «Amores muertos» and «Cabos sueltos» are published by Ediciones Amaníaco. Diábolo Ediciones published the last two in a compilation named «Vidas a contraluz».   • La Massana Còmic 2009 - Comic convention in Andorra


    The comic convention "La Massana Còmic 2009" will be taking place from next 30th of April, until 10th of May in Andorra.
    This year, the convention will be having 13 guest authors, and between them Raule and Roger. Signing sessions will be posted as soon as we have that information.

  • 27th International Comic Fair of Barcelona


    [Press Note]
    From 29 May to 1 June 2009, the 27th International Comic Fair of Barcelona will be held in the Fira de Barcelona (Barcelona Fair Centre).

    Very popular artists of comic books of superheroes such as Jim Lee, Jim Starlin and Mike Mingnola, the father of Hellboy have confirmed their participation in the Festival of Barcelona. Apart from that, the Festival will host excellent artists such as François Bourgeon, Jeffrey Brown, Gipi, Claudio Stassi and Giovanni Di Gregorio, the authors of the Brancaccio, which has received many awards.
